Promoting Campus-Wide Spaces for Transformation and Impact

Student Engagement creates opportunities for every student to belong, lead and thrive. Through programs, events and campus involvement, we foster supportive spaces where students are encouraged to make decisions, discover their passions and reach their full potential.

Our work is centered around three core ideas:

The unique growth and learning experiences students gain through involvement at Saint Francis, supported by opportunities for personal and professional development.

A life-changing experience that inspires students to positively influence their communities through global citizenship and social responsibility.

A welcoming and supportive environment where students are empowered to take initiative, build relationships and succeed.

Our Three Pillars

Saint Francis’ Catholic identity and Franciscan values deeply resonate with our commitment to fostering community, promoting justice and living a life of service.

Leadership Development

We equip students with the tools and experiences needed to grow personally and professionally through the University’s Catholic identity and Franciscan charism.

Social Programming

Led in part by our Student Justice Advocates, social and educational programming promotes cultural diversity, belonging and social justice across campus.

Community Engagement

From campus events and recreation to lectures, service opportunities and discussions, we create experiences that bring the Saint Francis community together.

Getting Involved From the Start

Your first year at Saint Francis is filled with opportunities to connect, participate, and make your campus experience your own. Whether you are joining a club, attending Welcome Weekend events or participating in campus activities, there are countless ways to become part of the Cougar community from day one.

Welcome Weekend

Welcome Weekend prepares students for the greater adventure that is to come at Saint Francis. With several exciting events over the course of four days, you’ll meet people, make friends and have fun!

Orientation and Welcome Leaders

Help new students feel at home! Orientation and Welcome Leaders (OWLs) create a welcoming transition for incoming students by guiding them through orientation and introducing them to life at Saint Francis. OWLs serve as mentors, leaders and ambassadors for the student experience.

Intramurals

Get active and join a team! Athletics are a huge part of life at Saint Francis. It’s one of the main ways we, as a community, come together: in spirited support of our athletes.

Student Activities

Campus life happens here! The Student Activities Council (SAC) hosts events and programs throughout the year designed to help students connect, relax, celebrate and have fun. From campus traditions to special events, there’s always something happening at Saint Francis.
