The Steel Dynamics Foundation Scholarship supports outstanding students who demonstrate academic potential, financial need and a commitment to pursuing a degree in Science, Technology, Business, Accounting or Finance at the University of Saint Francis.
Scholarship Overview
Award Amount:
Each scholarship is valued at $5,000 per year, renewable for up to four years—for a total maximum award of $20,000 per student.
Application Deadline:
All application materials must be submitted by April 15 each year. Applicants must apply to Saint Francis before submitting a scholarship application.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the Steel Dynamics Foundation Scholarship, each applicant must:
- Be an incoming first-year student at Saint Francis
- Submit a personal essay as part of the application process
- File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by April 15
- Maintain a minimum overall GPA of 2.75 while enrolled
- Use scholarship funds toward tuition and fees
- Remain enrolled full time and pursue a four-year degree in one of the following areas:
- Accounting (BS)
- Biology (BS)
- Biology Pre-Dental (BS)
- Biology Pre-Medicine (BS)
- Biology Pre-Physician Assistant Studies (BS)
- Business Administration (BS)
- Clinical Laboratory Science (BS)
- Environmental Science (BS)
- Finance (BS)
- Game and Application Development (BS)
- Information Technology (BS)
- Marketing (BS)
- Pre-Veterinary (BS)
- Sports Management (BS)
Application Process
Log in to mySF (my.sf.edu) with student email. Visit Knowledgebase > Student Forms > Steel Dynamics Foundation Scholarship Application. Complete the application by April 15.


Selection Process
The Steel Dynamics Foundation Scholarship is a competitive award. Financial need is considered as part of the selection process. After careful review by the scholarship committee, selected recipients will be notified by the Office of Financial Aid.
