Discover ways to enlighten minds and light the world.
The University of Saint Francis has always stayed the course in its goal to inspire students to contribute through careers and service to help their communities, dating back to the university’s founding as a teachers’ college in 1890. The Education, Human Services and Community Care Pathway is designed for students who are passionate about helping others and creating positive change. Whether preparing to educate future generations, provide social work and human services support, advance mental health through psychology or serve communities through criminal justice and criminology, graduates are equipped to make a lasting impact on the lives of individuals, families and society as a whole.

From their first year, Education students can gain experience in local classrooms. Social Work students complete multiple internships with community agencies, while Criminal Justice and Criminology students gain field experience alongside professionals in the criminal justice system. Psychology students work alongside professionals in a variety of behavioral science settings.
These experiences are guided by faculty who bring professional expertise, practical knowledge and career-focused instruction into the classroom, helping students connect what they learn with the work they hope to do.
